Themes

Healthy Schools work is structured around key themes and these provide the basis for the areas for the questions in our Annual Audit. The themes also link to local and national health priorities as these are the areas where we feel we can have the most impact on children and young people's health and wellbeing. In addition, they provide a link to the Government's public health outcomes and the wider public health agenda.

The themes are

• Personal, Social and Health Education including sex and relationship education and drug education including alcohol, tobacco, and volatile substance abuse
• Healthy eating
• Physical activity
• Emotional health and wellbeing including addressing bullying
