Annual Audit

About the Annual Audit

We developed the Annual Audit in response to the government's desire to minimise bureaucracy for schools. We wanted to create an uncomplicated and unproblematic tool, avoiding some of the problems you may have encountered with the former national tools.

The Annual Audit is intended to help you capture the essence of what it means for your school to be a Healthy School. Primarily, it's a self-assessment checklist enabling you to celebrate what's working well and to identify areas where you might want to take some action. It asks the following questions:

  • How are we doing? (assessment scale 1-4)
  • How do we know? (evidence)
  • What are we going to do next? (action plan)
